Ferguson is a Scottish football manager and former player who has managed Manchester United since 1986. His time at the club has led to Ferguson being one of the most admired and respected managers in the history of the game.
Ferguson is the longest serving manager of Manchester United and the longest serving of all current League managers. He has won many awards and holds many records including winning Manager of the Year most times in British football history. He was knighted in 1999 for his services to the game.
May 4, 1994 - Arsenal wins 34th Europe Cup II
The 1994 European Cup Winners’ Cup Final was a football match contested between Arsenal of England and Parma of Italy. It was the final match of the 1993–94 European Cup Winners’ Cup and the 34th European Cup Winners’ Cup Final. The final was held at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, and Arsenal won 1–0 with the goal coming from Alan Smith. It is widely considered as the peak of Arsenal’s famous defence. Arsenal became the fourth London club to win the trophy after Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and West Ham United.

When David Beckham made the move to the Los Angeles Galaxy, many expected him to be the savior of Major League Soccer. Few players in soccer history can match Beckham in terms of popularity. Beckham was given $250 million over five years to help not only Los Angeles but the entire sport in the United States. Beckham’s debut took place in Los Angeles in an exhibition match against Chelsea. There were tons of celebrities in attendance. In the end, his team lost 1-0.
