Congratulations Carmelo Anthony on winning the 2012-13 NBA Scoring Title

Carmelo Anthony averaged 28.7 points per game.
This is the the first scoring title of Anthony’s 10-year NBA career. However, weirdly enough, this is not Anthony’s highest scoring average of his career. That came during the 2006-07 season, when he averaged 28.9 points per game for George Karl’s Denver Nuggets. Anthony is the first Knick to win the league scoring title since Bernard King led the league during the 1984-85 season.
Incredible photo capturing LeBron James at his apex!

During the play LeBron took a terrible fall as he attempted to catch and dunk a half-court alley-oop pass from Dwyane Wade. He got up slow, shook his leg off and then went on to dominate the game. The picture and video show his incredible vertical leap and athletic abilities.
Mar. 2, 1962 - Wilt Chamberlain scored an NBA-record 100 points

Philadelphia Warriors defeated the New York Knicks with a final score 169-147. Chamberlain broke five NBA records in the game: points in a quarter with 31, points in a half with 59, field goals made with 36, field goals attempted with 63 and free throws made with 28. Only one of the these records has since been broken, as George Gervin and Carmelo Anthony have each scored 33 points in a single quarter.
The game was not televised, and no video footage of the game exists; there are only audio recordings of the game’s fourth quarter. The NBA was not yet a major sports league and struggled to compete against college basketball. The attendance at this game was over half of capacity, and there were no members of the New York press at the game.

Jan. 15, 1990 - Don Nelson appears in 1,000 games as a coach and a player

Lenny Wilkins was the first to achieve the record.
Nelson coached the Milwaukee Bucks, the New York Knicks, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Golden State Warriors.
An innovator, Nelson is credited with, among other things, inventing the concept of the point forward, a tactic which is frequently employed by teams at every level today. His unique brand of basketball is often referred to as Nellie Ball. He was named one of the Top 10 coaches in NBA history. On April 7, 2010, he passed Lenny Wilkens for first place on the all-time NBA wins list with 1,333 wins. His all-time record is 1,335–1,063 (.557).
